Positive Environment New Zealand
We feel very honoured and lucky to being able to show you our beautiful Tasman Area with the Abel Tasman National Park and to show you Golden Bay.
To being able to park on Department of Conservation land and to walk with you in this area we hold concessions from the Department of Conservation. Our yearly concessions fees and fees per visitor are there to be invested back on the conservation estate.
With the privilege of showing you our profoundly beautiful and unique environment comes a responsibility to take care of the environment and to minimize our impact, which we monitor in conjunction with DOC.
We try to create awareness by sharing our stories and knowledge. We explain how anyone can enjoy the beauty of the environment in a responsible way.
We explain how important conservation is and how projects like the Birdsong Trust , Project Janszoon and a new sanctuary at Cape Farewell near Farewell Spit and Wharariki Beach protect and restore the native flora and fauna.
We admire the work of our local group Tasman Bay Guardians and try to support them on community days. They monitor our marine life. They also set up an initiative, where we can all donate to support marine life and plant more trees.
